Vibha Choudhary
building at the edge of intelligence.

Engineer turned product leader, 15+ years across three continents. I've helped shape Microsoft Copilot, built conversational AI for Amazon Alexa before the world called it "AI," and today I'm a Principal PM at Atlassian building Confluence AI and agentic / MCP systems. I go looking for the hardest problems I don't yet know how to solve.

About

Forever a learner, forever curious.

When I don't understand a system, my instinct is to go inside it until I do. I'm fascinated by math because it exposes the hidden structure underneath things that initially look unrelated, from the geometry of a flower to the behavior of a complex system. I once entered a quantum-computing hackathon simply because I knew almost nothing about quantum computing. We won.

I'm a lifelong learner by temperament. The next thing I don't understand usually excites me more than the thing I already know. I read constantly, deliberately challenge my own assumptions, and put myself in unfamiliar environments because they change how I see the world. I've traveled through more than 30 countries to immerse myself in different cultures, histories, and ways societies evolved; I've gone skydiving and bungee jumping. Curiosity, for me, is active: I want to experience something, understand how it works, and then build with it.

I deliberately put myself in situations where I'm a beginner again. In 2016, I walked away from a six-figure software-engineering career in Australia to start over in the U.S. I came for an MBA with one shot at the H-1B lottery and no guarantee I could stay. Continuing the life I already had would have been much easier; I chose the path that would force me to grow.

That same curiosity has taken me from writing banking software, to ML pricing at Expedia, to language understanding and generation for Alexa, to helping shape Microsoft Copilot, to building agentic AI at Atlassian.

Work

The arc: from writing the code to deciding what gets built.

Now

Principal Product Manager · Atlassian

Leading AI creation for Confluence, plus agentic and MCP work, building products that reason and act. Multiple patents filed, three in my first year.

Prior

Principal Product Manager · Microsoft Copilot

Helped shape Microsoft Copilot, bringing AI assistance to the world's largest productivity ecosystem.

Prior

Prior

Product Manager · Expedia

Built an ML-powered pricing model: my first taste of shipping machine learning at scale, and the move from engineering into product.

Foundation

Software Engineer · Westpac, CIBC, ABN AMRO

Six years building production systems where correctness and trust were non-negotiable, including a first-of-its-kind cardless ATM withdrawal for Westpac. Backed by a BS in Computer Science and an MBA from Michigan State.

I'm always up for a conversation about AI products, agents, the messy middle of taking research to production, or the mathematics hiding inside ordinary things.
